Back to the River

After a long weekend, I found myself dodging the rain by driving up into the Gorge again today. It was a social day, as many tourists stopped in their tracks to spend a moment or two with me and my art. The  en plein air  painting below was done at the roadside Viewpoint.

Looking at it now, I can see where a stronger line to define the exact place where water and land meet might give the painting structure and a place for the eye to rest upon and follow. Learning to be brave and adding this kind of 'calligraphy' is something for me to embrace!
