At PNCA

I love heading over to  PNCA where weekly they have a live model session in one of the drawing rooms.
The girl below was actually wearing one ballet shoe, thus her toes are all crammed together and point straight down! Before I left the session I wiped the paint, deciding to see if the overall painting could hold it's own without the 'jewelry' of the beautiful satin ballet slipper. What do ya think?
This was about a 2 hr. pose in the end, and remained a sketch in Oil. With this I went 'larger' working on a 16 x 12 panel.  Lately in painting I've stayed with very small sizes. Time to go bigger!
