Last week I took a special trip down to Southern California, traveling by plane to LA,  I was able to visit some of the best galleries that hold world class Impressionistic paintings. What a treat! After motoring down to  Laguna Beach, & Dana Point, I had to take a break and at least try to do some plein air painting. This piece was a first pass along the sandy beach of Dana Point. It felt great to get my easel out a few times and 'settle in' to the world around me.
I had no idea how much the steady diet of viewing masterful work would nourish me! I really have to thank Thomas Kitts for his inspiration in getting us Oregonians to take the plunge and see all that Southern CA. has to offer.

Today I learned that a couple more of my paintings that are hanging in Twill Boutique, in SE Portland, have sold!
Yippee! It is so fun to see them go to new homes!

This one, 'Summer Along the Creek', is going to a new home in Colorado!
